8 STEPS TO BUILDING YOUR DOUBLE-STOREY HOME

The Brighton Homes team will partner with you to get your house built quickly. Our building process involves 8 simple steps:

STEP 1 – INITIAL QUOTE

One of our expert Building and Design Consultants will help you choose the perfect two-storey house design so that you can be provided with an initial quote.

STEP 2 – PRELIMINARY AGREEMENT

Signing your preliminary agreement and paying your initial $3,000 (non-refundable) deposit fee is the next step in the building process. This locks in your quote price for 180 days.

STEP 3 – CONSOLIDATED TENDER

You’ll then review your Consolidated Tender (CT) during a meeting with your Building and Design Consultant. After your CT has been agreed on and signed, you can begin the process of choosing your home’s electrical components and personalised details.

STEP 4 – PLAN PRESENTATION

By this stage of the build your house plan will be ready for review. If you’re happy with how everything looks, it can be signed off on.

STEP 5 – MY CHOICE STUDIO

Using Design Choice Studio, you’ll get the chance to customise your home’s interior details, including the colours and textures used throughout the interior design.

STEP 6 – CONTRACT SIGNING AND ELECTRICAL PRESENTATION

Your Project Coordinator will help you review contract so that it can be finalised and signed off. You’ll also attend an electrical appointment to finalise your home’s electrical components.

STEP 7 – BUILDING APPROVAL

Once all the paperwork and design details have been finalised, your plans will be lodged with our private certifier to get Building Approval.

STEP 8 – AUTHORITY TO COMMENCE CONSTRUCTION

After obtaining Building Approval, you’ll need to send a copy of it to your financial lender so they can provide you with an Authority to Commence Construction letter. Brighton Homes will be able to start building your home within 20 days of receiving this letter.
